HOME INSTEAD SENIOR CARE®
Leading the Way in At-Home Senior Care
An innovator in eldercare since 1994, Home Instead Senior Care has quickly become one of the world’s largest and most trusted names in the industry. We are proud to have created a caring Home Office culture and a successful systematic approach to help seniors live independently at home. This is truly a rewarding and meaningful business — one of the top reasons 20% of our franchisees own more than one Home Instead Senior Care location.
The Wall Street Journal calls Home Instead Senior Care one of America’s top 25 high performing franchises in part because a rapidly aging population creates exciting business opportunities. Consider these facts:
- By 2020, 60 million North Americans will be 65 years of age and older.
- 86% of these seniors will prefer to age in place rather than move to a care facility.
A Business Born from Personal Experience
Paul and Lori Hogan’s personal experience caring for his grandmother for 12 years inspired them to launch Home Instead Senior Care in 1994. The company began franchising in 1995, and by 1998, the Home Instead Senior Care network had grown to 99 franchises and was recognized by Entrepreneur magazine as one of the 100 fastest growing franchise systems in the United States.
In 2000, Home Instead Senior Care began international development with the opening of a Master Franchise in Osaka, Japan. Today, the franchise network has offices throughout the United States, Canada, Japan, Portugal, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Taiwan, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Germany, South Korea, Finland and Austria.
In 2003, the Home Instead Senior Care Foundation was created with the philanthropic mission of providing financial assistance to non-profit organizations whose projects aim to improve quality of life for seniors.
